Behind the Scenes of the Autumn Splendour Shoot
Last weekend I took the upcoming Autumn Splendour collection out to Jerrabomberra Wetlands to shoot images for the new campaign. My two gorgeous friends Heidi and Rochelle came along to model for me.
The weather was perfect. Blue skies and afternoon sun that gave a beautiful glow to the reeds surrounding the boardwalk. If you haven’t been for a walk around Jerrabomberra Wetlands, you should definitely check it out. Such a beautiful spot, and great for bird watchers.
I styled the dresses with gold costume jewellery to catch the light and add the warm afternoon feel of the images. I had the girls bring their favourite black boots and they did their own hair and makeup.
All up I had nine dresses to shoot, and we had to make sure we were done before the sun went down. Being so close to Winter Solstice, we had to finish by about 4:30pm.
Shooting in the afternoon light can be tricky as a novice photographer, but I’m very happy with the final images. They’ll be coming online with the launch of the collection.
I can’t wait to show you the new mini collection, which will go live on 28th June!
