The Making Of The Wildflower Print
If you’ve been following Zilpah Tart for a while, you might remember seeing a collaboration between Peony n Pearl and I on the Fashfest Runway back in 2016. Peony n Pearl is a local Canberra Florist run by ladyboss Fioinna Tamin. For the Fashfest show, Fionna created amazing live flower accessories to match my Skyline Collection. The huge headpiece was a show stopper!
We decided to collaborate again, but this time I wanted to use her beautiful arrangements in the actual fabric print. When Fionna had some bouquets ready for a wedding, I raced over to her studio and photographed a beautiful Wildflower bouquet which formed the base of the new Wildflower Print.
I took the photo and played around with different repeats, scales and background colours, and settled on the final design, with a silver to charcoal gradient as the background. The colours in the print look amazing and the detail in the flowers is incredible.
