A little studio upgrade… 🩷✂️

After years of cutting every Zilpah Tart garment by hand, I finally treated myself to a pair of electric scissors.

I’d started noticing my cutting hand wasn’t loving the endless hours with regular dressmaking scissors, so it was time for another option.

These pretty pink electric scissors have already made such a difference and hopefully they’ll help keep these hands cutting and sewing dresses for many years to come.

Running a one-person fashion label is all about the little things people don’t always see. Every dress starts right here, on my cutting table, before it ever reaches the sewing machine 🩷

Teaching Tuesdays 🎓💗

Tuesday nights mean I’m back in the classroom teaching fashion at TAFE for the new semester, so comfort is always high on my priority list.

Last night’s outfit was my Turtle Neck Dress in Blush Feathers, paired with pink statement earrings and my favourite rose gold shoes. I love how easy these dresses are to wear all day, whether I’m teaching, sewing in the studio or heading out afterwards.
